HIGHLIGHTS
Our high school program is designed to prepare learners for a successful university experience anywhere in the world. We focus on the long term goal of developing a generation who cares about the sustainability of the world, a generation of self-regulated leaders who are capable of living a passionate and purposeful life. Learners are constantly working on projects to come up with innovative solutions for real world problems of sustainability. This process is anchored in the development of a STEAM mindset, project management and forward thinking skills.
University Preparatory Program
To better prepare learners for university, we provide a college counselor to guide learners in their university research and admission process. Introducing learners to higher education, the learners are exposed to local and International universities, along with assistance to better meet admission requirements by giving application essay workshops and alumni sharing sessions. As a result of our comprehensive program, our alumni have been accepted in over 15 countries, in 290 Universities both national and throughout the world.
Credit System
By applying a credit system, we give learners opportunities to choose their learning path and be better prepared for transition into University. The learners may take 1 of the 3 majors offered:
Advanced Placement Courses
HighScope High School provides opportunities for learners to get a head start in universities abroad. The Advanced Placement (AP) program is a rigorous academic program that exposes high school learners to college-level coursework.
One great benefit of taking AP exams is the opportunity to earn college credit and placement. The AP Exam score is recognized in many universities worldwide (universities in the USA and over 600 universities in more than 55 countries outside of the USA) for admission, credit and placement.
Our high school program offers 11 AP (Advanced Placement) courses, which are equivalent to first year college level subjects. Learners may take AP Courses to earn college credit and placement; however, they can also take those courses to challenge themselves with college level work and explore their interests.
Ethical Leadership Development
Learners are given plentiful opportunities to develop future-oriented life skills such as Ethical Leadership. A learner can choose to start and lead their own club, be CEO of their own Virtual Company, be Director of their own cause in Model United Nations, and various other leadership roles that they can assume throughout their learning journey.

The Advisory Program is led by 2-3 passionate teachers with a group of up to 25 learners, that consists of grades 10, 11, and 12, who meet on a daily basis for 30 minutes. This program provides a caring environment for monitoring the learners’ progress towards their goals, including academic guidance and social-emotional support. Learners are given opportunities to discuss any concerns – academic, personal, and social--with the advisors. As this program takes place every day, learners have opportunities to interact with the same group of learners to reinforce learning about themselves, as well as aspects that promote them to be responsible adults, such as values, self-esteem, and goal setting. This program also provides learners with university preparatory and career-related exposure. Attendance and participation in the program are part of the graduation requirements.

Q: How is learning conducted in HighScope High School?
In order to gain university exposure from the early years, HighScope high school implements the Credit System. Credits are computed in terms of units.
The number of credits taken influences the daily schedule of the student, thus enriching the student through planning, carrying out the planning, and, during the advisory, reviewing and acquiring support for a successful continuation of the student’s academic career.
